Since we made the move from paper-based learning to online learning, with our user-friendly learning portal, we’ve received fantastic feedback from our candidates; easy to use, engaging, informative and fun are just some of the words we’ve heard.

However, as with any new product, we receive questions from time to time, so we thought we’d put them all together here in one handy document to help you through your learning journey with Paddeco.

It’s very simple.  If you have ever made an online purchase from an e-commerce (shopping) website, then you will find this very similar and straightforward. Our website is fully secure and uses the very latest cyber security technology.

Should you have any difficulty making your online payment do not hesitate to call the Centre on 02920 105312 and we will walk you through the process.

If you still feel uncomfortable making your payment online, we can take your payment over the phone.

Not necessarily.  As part of the registration process, we ask you to complete a simple Skills Analysis form that tells us all about your work experience. This will help determine which course is most suitable for you, the duration, and how much support you may need from your assessor/tutors.

We are regulated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), an internationally recognised body, sponsored by the Scottish Government, who inspect and approve us on an annual basis. The moment you register with us you are also registered with the SQA and are therefore have the backing of a government body. All our qualifications/courses are directly linked to the National Occupational Standards.

Every candidate who registers with us and completes their course, receives their certificate at the end of their qualification. Hundreds of candidates have successfully completed their courses with us over the years.

Absolutely not. Our online learning portal is extremely user-friendly. In fact, a number of candidates have already completed their course questions online, far faster than they would have done were they working with paper and pen!

There are a number of self-help animations available along the way that will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Should you still require assistance, our assessors and Centre support staff are more than happy to walk through the process with you over the phone or even in-person.

Our website is designed in such a way that it is fully accessible on mobile phones, tablets.

In some circumstances we do allow candidates to complete their course questions on paper and send the answers to us by post. We would never turn away candidates because of technology / learning restrictions.

Our assessors make themselves available based on your work schedule. It is not unusual for our assessors to arrange calls / discussions with candidates after working hours. They do whatever it takes to help you achieve your qualification.

The beauty of the online learning portal is that you are able to complete your course questions in your own time and at your own pace.  All learning material and other resources are available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Not at all.  A large number of our successfully qualified and current candidates do not have English as their first language. We offer flexible learning so anyone can achieve their qualification with us.

In addition to your assessors, we also have a vast library (over 100 informative documents) of learning material available to you on your learning portal.  For every question you need to answer you will find a handout, information sheet or teaching presentation available to help you. Should you struggle to find the answer(s), your assessor will always be available to help.

We hope this information was useful and helped put or bed any concerns you may have had. Should you still have questions, please do not hesitate to email us on [email protected] or call the Centre on 02920 105312. We’re here to help!
